ONLINE CONFERENCE

The Netherlands has more than ten thousand nurse practitioners. They work for medical doctors, hospitals, municipal health centres and other healthcare institutions. Many conferences and workshops are organized for this professional group, because it is important that the knowledge of all these practitioners is regularly refreshed.

The two professional organizations NVvPO and V&VN asked DDG to organize an event series in 2020 and 2021. This brief resulted in the so-called Big National POH/PVK/PVH Event.

This Groot Landelijk Event https://www.grootlandelijkevent.nl/nl/home.html  was live recorded in three studio settings: a Care-stage, an Innovation-stage and a Lifestyle area.

Thought Provoking Talkshow

Both associations have a large constituency, so they wanted to offer all participants a program with a thought-provoking plenary talkshow and a choice of more practical parallel activities. DDG Smart Marketing was asked to coordinate the project and present the program to all participants. The team not only briefed and rehearsed with all 59 speakers, but also coordinated all partner contacts. In terms of execution DDG took care of the technical production, over-all floor management and support of the studio day, as well as the digital platform.

This digital event started with a day program from ten in the morning to four in the afternoon on April 22, broadcasted from a studio based on the main theme. Moderator of the morning talkshow was Tom van ‘t Hek, a former top hockey player and a well-known general practitioner himself. This talkshow was followed in the afternoon by sixteen parallel sessions of thirty minutes each, divided over the three studio settings. Apart from the presentations the event also offered the option to network with other participants via a networking carrousel. The first day was concluded at Van ‘t Hek’s table again.

Because there was more information to share after a very intensive pandemic period for many nurse practitioners, this national day was followed-up with two evening programs on May 20 and June 15, each lasting two hours. These follow-up events again consisted of keynote speakers, partner and parallel sessions.

Various Rooms & Activities

Through the online platform that was managed by DDG, participants could also get to know the twenty-eight partners who made this national event possible. All participants had access to a digital conference box with partner info and important presentations.

DDG’s main contribution was to translate the originally intended conference program into a digital variant and manage the online platform Let’s Get Digital. Such a platform makes the difference between the umpteenth Zoom or Team meeting and an online event experience. Visitors feel like guests at an event with various rooms and activities. Our approach made this big online event feel very intimate. And all that live!
